Why we do this

We help individuals, families, and organizations make financial decisions that match their goals and values. Technology informs our work. Every recommendation still rests on experience, sound judgment, and human discernment.

Our name

Why Fieldstone?

I grew up on a street called Fieldstone Drive in Southwest Austin. I always liked the name, and I feel it fits the “why” behind what I do every day. I hope to always be a guiding force for people in my community, helping them build a strong financial foundation and live purposefully and generously as a result.

A note from the founder

Hi, thanks for visiting.

My name is Noah Remmert. I’m an Austin native and the founder of Fieldstone Advisory. After studying finance and portfolio management at LSU, I returned to Texas to join a local RIA and serve clients ranging from young professionals and emerging-wealth households to ultra-high-net-worth founders and families.

I founded this practice as an independent platform where I and, in the future, other advisors can provide impactful financial guidance and resources to members of my community at a fair price.

When I’m not working on the practice, I like to spend time with my wife, Sydney, and my pup, Addie. We attend Red Rocks Church in Austin. We love to travel and see live music. I’m always up for a round of golf. I am an aviation enthusiast and aspiring private pilot.

Whether you are facing a challenging life transition or just hoping to learn more about financial planning and investing, I am happy to connect with you.

Where we add value

Seven areas. One integrated picture.

Financial well-being isn't one problem — it's seven that interact. We work across all of them so nothing is optimized in isolation.

Your Plan
Fundamentals of Finance

Most financial decisions fail not from complexity, but from gaps in the basics.

What this means

Cash flow, net worth, debt structure, and savings rate — the foundational layer that every other decision sits on. We look here first, before building anything on top of it.

Why it matters

Sophisticated investment strategies can't compensate for a leaking budget or a balance sheet you don't understand. We start here.

Asset & Portfolio Management

Helping clients understand risk & return to build an investment portfolio suited to their individual needs.

What this means

Discretionary management of public equity, fixed income, and alternatives, constructed around your goals, time horizon, values, and life and income needs.

Why it matters

Most people's portfolios reflect a series of disconnected decisions. We build from a complete picture and manage it as one coherent strategy.

Tax

Filing correctly and paying the least you legally owe are two different jobs. Our goal is to help clients pay what they legally owe by aligning their plan with their goals and with industry best practices and economic incentives.

What this means

Tax-conscious portfolio construction, income timing, account location strategy, and coordination with your CPA around events that have planning implications. Fieldstone does not provide tax advice — we provide context and coordinate with your tax advisor.

Why it matters

The gap between a good tax return and a good tax strategy compounds over decades. We help close it.

Financial Independence & Retirement

The goal isn't just to retire — it's to have options, on your timeline, without running out.

What this means

Retirement projections, Social Security timing, distribution strategy, withdrawal sequencing, and the question of whether the number you're working toward is the right number.

Why it matters

Accumulation and distribution are different disciplines. We plan for both from the beginning so the transition between them isn't a surprise.

Estate & Legacy

If people depend on you, an outdated plan — or no plan — is a risk you can fix.

What this means

Estate plan review, beneficiary audit, trust coordination, and working alongside an estate attorney to make sure your legal documents, account titling, and financial plan all point in the same direction.

Why it matters

Beneficiary designations override your will regardless of what it says. Documents drafted before a marriage, a child, or a business sale may not reflect your current life. We help you stay current.

Risk & Insurance

As a fee-only firm, we don't sell insurance — so our analysis isn't shaped by what pays a commission.

What this means

Coverage adequacy review across life, disability, long-term care, and property — analyzed against your actual balance sheet and financial plan, not against a sales quota.

Why it matters

Most people have some coverage. Whether it's the right kind, in the right amount, structured correctly — that's worth verifying with someone who has no product to sell.

Behavioral Finance

The biggest risk to a financial plan isn't the market. It's the decisions people make in response to it.

What this means

Understanding how cognitive biases, emotional responses, and life transitions affect financial decision-making — and building processes that account for human nature rather than assuming it away.

Our advantage

Modern financial technology gives us better data and better models. But the application of that data to the unique complexity of a human life — goals that shift, emotions that spike, relationships that change — still requires judgment. That's where we add the most value.

Portfolio management

A repeatable process for disciplined, tax-aware portfolio management.

How we manage

Long-term value, added at every stage.

Fieldstone is a discretionary portfolio manager that delivers disciplined investment concepts and execution at a fair cost to the investor. Our guidance is shaped by fundamental analysis and macroeconomic market cycles — applied consistently across the entire investment lifecycle.

Stage 01

Acquisition & Accumulation

What this means

Whenever new capital enters the picture — savings, a bonus, a liquidity event, an inheritance — we determine how and when it should be deployed, with intentional timing rather than a single lump-sum reflex.

Why it matters

Rushing new capital into the market and leaving it in cash out of hesitation are both common, costly mistakes. The entry decision sets the tone for everything that follows.

Stage 02

Structuring

What this means

Selecting and organizing the accounts that will hold your assets — taxable, tax-deferred, and tax-exempt — with titling and beneficiary designations that match your broader plan.

Why it matters

The wrong account for the wrong purpose is one of the most common — and most preventable — costs we see. Deciding structure early avoids years of unwinding it later.

Stage 03

Allocation

What this means

Building your portfolio using Fieldstone's Total Portfolio Approach — informed by fundamental analysis and macroeconomic cycles, and matched to your goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance.

Why it matters

Chasing individual winners is a distraction from the decision that actually drives results: how your money is divided across asset classes in the first place.

Stage 04

Stewardship & Vigilance

What this means

Ongoing monitoring, disciplined rebalancing, and risk oversight — adjusting proactively as markets move through cycles and as your own life and goals change.

Why it matters

Markets shift, life changes, and a portfolio that isn't actively managed slowly drifts from the goals it was built for — often without anyone noticing until it matters.

Stage 05

Distribution & Transfer

What this means

Tax-aware withdrawal sequencing as you draw on your portfolio, and coordinated planning for the eventual transfer of wealth to the next generation or a cause you care about.

Why it matters

Poor sequencing at withdrawal, or no plan for transfer at all, can undo decades of disciplined accumulation in a handful of avoidable decisions.
